Sales Manager

Job Description:

Monument City Brewing is seeking a sales leader to join its exciting and expanding team.  The Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding sales throughout Maryland with a primary focus on Baltimore and the surrounding counties. 

Candidates must have a passion for craft beer and be familiar with the craft beer market in the key territories.  The Sales Manager should have excellent relationship management and time management skills with a proven track record in craft beer sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow sales for Monument City Brewing for both on and off premise accounts
  • Strengthen existing and establish new on and off premise account relationships
  • Manage distributor relationships in key territories to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies, including engaging with distributor’s sales team
  • Evaluate market performance to help drive sales and marketing strategies
  • Identify new engagement strategies to grow the Monument City Brewing brand awareness
  • Schedule and attend promotional events and beer festivals in key territories
  • Lead sales meetings and manage promotional budgets
  • Schedule and execute ride-a-longs with distributors
  • Manage and execute required administrative responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with craft beer, wholesaler/distributor and/or retail/restaurant sales
  • Motivated, charismatic and the ability to work independently to achieve stated business objectives
  • Passion for craft beer with an in-depth knowledge of the craft beer culture
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to be proactive
  • Strong relationship building skills with effective communication skills
  • Ability to prepare sales and budget reporting (proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Must be 21 or older with valid driver’s license
